INTRODUCING THE KWIKBUILD SYSTEM

The 28-year-old KwikBuild building system, responsible for the construction of well over two thousand homes throughout South Africa. The system is fully approved by the Agrément Board, the NHBRC and has been tested by the SABS. The system is also accepted for bond approval.

One of the most commonly asked questions is, "How much would it cost to build an average sized three bedroomed house ?" According to the material price building index, also known as the Construction Input Price Index (CIPI), the average cost of building a house in South Africa ranges between R 10 000 - R 20 000 per m² and the average time to build a 80m² - 100m² house is about 14 weeks. Suppose you could build that same house in just one week (finishes excluded)?

By building faster, we are not only reducing the overall cost of construction, but we also remove the elements of what makes construction expensive; like bricks, masonry, cement, steel, etc.

The cost to construct this house would be between R 4 200 - R 5 600 m².

KWIKBUILD

PERFORMANCE

KwikBuild is totally waterproof, as a result of it's proprietary wall skin material prior to plastering, is dimensionally stable with no expanding or contracting as a result of moisture, and is fire resistant.

STRUCTURE & STRENGTH

KwikBuild is structurally suited for single and double storey homes, more stable than comparable timber constructions, and doesn't require lintels or ringbeam support.

THE COST & SPEED OF BUILDING

KwikBuild construction is a very fast process - able to erect 180m2 of vertical walling daily, without the requirement of unique skills or specialised contractors.

COMMUNAL & LEGAL ACCEPTANCE

Manufactured out of traditional and readily available local material, KwikBuild structures are accepted by all African communities and professional entities.

ECO
FRIENDLY

KwikBuild construction offers very limited 1% on-site wastage compared to at least 8% wastage with conventional building methods and saving 30% on water usage.
